이번주 뉴스레터는 정말 HOT 소식을 전달해드릴 수 있겠습니다. OPEN AI에서 TEXT TO VIDEO 프로젝트 SORA를 발표했습니다. 현재 모든 유저가 사용 가능하지는 않고 앞으로 가능해질것으로 예상되는데요.
그동안 GEN-2, PIKA 등을 통해서 AI VIDEO를 접했는데요. 이 정도 수준들을 보면서 솔직히 AI가 애쓴다...라는 생각은 해봤지만 정말 넘사벽 혹은 수준급이다? 이런 생각이 들지는 않았습니다. 그러나 OPEN AI의 SORA는 다릅니다. 확실히 그 수준이 넘사벽인데요. 아래 내용들을 먼저 보시면 좋겠습니다.

위 영상들을 보면 이제는 AI 영상이 웃음이 나오지않습니다. 예전에 기억하실지 모르겠습니다. GEN-1 이 처음나올때 막상 써보니 웃음이 나오는 수준...그게 벌써 엊그제 같은데 이렇게나 빨리 발전했다는 생각에 새삼 놀랍습니다.

위 영상은 불과 10개월전 제가 업데이트 한 영상인데요. GEN-1에 대한 영상입니다. 유튜브 썸네일을 보시면 알겠지만 정말 개그도 이런 개그가 없는 수준이였는데요. 지금의 AI 영상은 이제 웃음이 나오지를 않습니다. 정말 많이 발전했다는 생각이 듭니다. AI 코리아 커뮤니티에서는 2024년을 AI 필름 메이킹의 해로 보고 있었습니다. 그래서 아래의 영상도 업데이트 이미 했었는데요. 오늘 OPEN AI의 업데이트를 보니 참 피부로 와닿습니다.

위와 같이 올해 2024년은 AI 필름 메이킹의 해로 생각하고 콘텐츠들을 깔아두었는데 OPEN AI에서 SORA 프로젝트로 들어오니 정말 의심의 여지없이 올해는 각 개인이 AI 영상으로 단편 영화를 만들 수 있는 수준이 될듯합니다.
물론 아직까지는 실제 영화 퀄리티를 따라가기는 쉽지 않을것입니다. 포인트는 올해 어디까지 발전할것인가? 이런 부분에 대한 것이 관점일듯합니다.
